Christoph Scherer

Dr. Christoph Scherer is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Since 2009 Christoph has his own practice in Saarbrücken, where he treats mainly patients with trauma-related disorders. He has studied a broad range of methods (e.g. EMDR, DBT, PITT, NARM) from leading figures in the field and studied directly under Ellert since 15 years. He works as instructor and supervisor for different institutes and leads one of them as medical co-director.

“Christoph is a person who takes his work, including teaching and supervising, most seriously. For example, he prepares his courses in minute detail. In part because of this responsible approach, his contributions are typically very well-received. Yet, there is another opposite side to Christoph’s coin: When it’s time to party, a party there shall be.“ - Ellert Nijenhuis
